About

I’m a twenty-something fat girl trying to lose weight. For health, and for happiness, but mostly to feel confident about myself as I once did.

I live in Wales, in the UK. I love cooking (obviously!) reading, watching films/TV (usually after I’ve finished the books!), and spending time with my friends and family.

A self confessed food-addict, I love anything and everything to do with food.

On this blog I’ll post recipes, my meal plans, my motivation, and hopefully I’ll inspire some others! I may also post some occasional non-food related blogs, but we shall see what this becomes.

This will NOT be a quick-fix crash diet in any way shape or form. I’m changing my lifestyle to be happier, healthier and fitter.

Wish me luck!

  1. Hello from across the pond! 🙂 I’m excited for you to start this journey to lose over 100 pounds and blogging! Let me know if there’s ever anything I can do to help with either! I’ve lost 94ish as of yesterday, and I’m still trying to hit that 100 lb milestone. YOU CAN DO IT!!! You definitely have the right attitude. Best of luck on your journey!

  2. Oh I get that! I started and restarted many times before I stuck with it. I’m sure your blog will help you a lot! I started my blog to help others, but it helps me just as much! xx

  3. That’s why I started it to be honest, that, and the fact that hardly any of my recipes were written down! I still have slip ups (gained weight for the last two weigh-ins) but I am REALLY motivated at the moment. Weigh-day tomorrow and I’m hoping for a good loss. 🙂 x

  4. Fingers crossed! I still have slip ups, and I’ve been at it for 5 1/2 years this time around. Honestly is key. YOU GOT THIS!

  5. Thanks so much! I know I’m in it for the long haul, I’ve set myself some mini goals, I’m hoping to be at 28lbs lost by the time I go to a Festival in 9 weeks time (currently on 14 lbs), but even if I get close that will be good. I’d like to lose 35 / 40 lbs by my birthday (September), and then another 10 / 15 by Christmas. I know it’s not going to come off over-night, but I’m already receiving comments on my progress which is great. :-). Look forward to having a really good read of your blog for inspiration. You’re photo slide-show is amazing – you’ve done brilliantly!! x

  6. Thanks! I’m so glad I can motivate someone! Setting mini goals is a great idea. I used to try to just focus on the next 5 pounds. 100 seems way too overwhelming! 🙂 I’ll be cheering for you!

  7. Just came across your blog, its fantastic, loving your recipes will definitely be trying them out. I’ve been a member of Weight Watchers on and off for about 10 years now. I am back attending classes as I need the discipline of getting weighed once a week by someone else.
Wish you all the best on your weight loss journey, I have also started following you on Instagram, love picking up different ideas from others.x

    1. Thanks Debbie. I’ve been quiet on both the blog and on Instagram for a while, but I’m hoping to pick it back up. I’m making some breakfast egg muffins tonight, so I’ll post a blog about them later. Let me know if you try any recipes out, I’d love to hear what you think xx
